The 86” truck cab frame has a curved front hoop which is used for the series 1 86/88.
The most common mistake when ordering your hood and frame sets for an 86” is purchasing the series 2/3 instead of the series 1. There is no difference in the 86 series 1 to the 88 series 1 so please make sure you are purchasing the correct option.
There is no over screen rail for the 86 as the teeth are already on the windscreen.
Best way to identity your land rover Is to check how many hooks your windscreen has, for the 86” you will have 8 hooks.
When ordering the frame this will include everything you need to fit your land rover truck cab hood, including all nuts, bolts and hooks.
Our frame kits are all proudly manufactured in the UK. With over 40 years’ experience working in the industry, we have been able to adapt and enhance our frames to ensure the perfect fit for your Land Rover type.
The frames are sourced from the UK and are as original as possible including 25mm 100% steel tubes with a 1mm wall and zinc galvanising to stop any rusting. All our frames are manufactured to fit canvas and mohair hoods (we can supply manufacture these as well). We can also supply these frames in black, the parts are galvanised first, rubbed down, primed and black powder coated for 2 layers of protection and finish. Heavy duty frames are becoming more popular in recent years and we have these available also both in Galvanised and Black finishes.
